摘要: Multiphase porous media mechanics is used for modeling tumor growth, using governing equations obtained via the Thermodynamically Constrained Averaging Theory (TCAT). This approach incorporates interaction of more phases than legacy growth models. The treated as a multiphase system composed an extracellular matrix, cells which may become necrotic depending on nutrient level and pressure, healthy interstitial fluid transports nutrients. are numerically solved within Finite Element framework predicting rate mass, its individual components, function initial tumor-to-healthy cell density ratio, concentration, mechanical strain. Preliminary results shown.
