摘要: Abstract In this paper, we study the kinetics of curing an unsaturated polyester resin initiated with MEKP by means DSC. DSC runs were performed at different heating rates. The experimental curves fitted using two kinetic models: one involving concept free-radical polymerization, and other empirical model that does not take into account steps involved in curing. A computer program was developed to find parameters each model. calculation algorithm uses Runge-Kutta numerical integration “downhill simplex method”. data are very well both models. activation energy values concordance tabulated Odian. theoretical calculation, it is useful know decomposition rate constant initiator. We determined methods. Both methods give similar Ed they agreement those literature.
