摘要: BACKGROUND Few studies have focused on the presence and significance of microsatellite instability (MSI) in gastric polyps, results record are conflicting. The aim current study was to address this issue, taking into consideration 2 main types coexistence foci malignant transformation, expression p53 ERBB-2. METHODS Six hyperplastic 10 adenomatous 4 polyps displaying transformation (intestinal-type carcinoma) were studied for MSI. authors analyzed a mononucleotide repeat (BAT-26) 5 dinucleotide repeats microdissected formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissue sections that representative lesions. Expression ERBB-2 evaluated by immunohistochemistry. RESULTS BAT-26 positivity detected 1 6 (16.7%) adenomas (20%) without transformation. In with carcinomatous foci, BAT-26 cases (50%) both (adenomatous carcinomatous) components immunoreactivity observed them Overexpression protein polyp transformation. CONCLUSIONS Replication error (RER+) phenotype occurs stomach. highest frequency is suggesting MSI may play role process setting. No significant association between RER+ overexpression or proteins.
