摘要: Background Diarrhea is an important cause of morbidity and mortality in all regions the world among ages, yet little known about fraction diarrhea episodes deaths due to each pathogen. Methodology/Principal Findings We conducted a systematic literature review identify papers reporting proportion with positive laboratory tests for at least one pathogen inpatient, outpatient community settings that met our inclusion exclusion criteria. We identified total 25,701 possible etiology data after final screening included 22 Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli V. cholerae O1/O139 were leading causes hospitalizations. In settings, Salmonella spp., Shigella E. histolytica most frequently isolated pathogens. Conclusions/Significance This first which has considered relative importance multiple pathogens. The few studies suggest there great need additional prospective around these age groups better understand burden disease variation by region.
