摘要: Cancer related fatigue (CRF), defined as a persistent subjective sense of tiredness to cancer or treatment that interferes with daily functioning, is highly prevalent and probably the most underestimated insufficiently treated complication in patients. Therefore, unravelling pathogenesis CRF great importance allowing identification novel therapeutic targets. It generally believed multicausal, explaining why interventions directed towards only one potential causative factor are unsuccessful. In this regard, it interest increased activity pro-inflammatory cytokines might be common denominator causing CRF. Detailed insight central role will hopefully offer an effective approach by affecting broad array proposed factors such anaemia, disturbances hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis altered brain serotonin metabolism.
