摘要: Purpose. While fatigue is the most commonly reported symptom of chemotherapy, there are currently no effective treatments for chemotherapy-induced (CIF). We used a mouse model to examine benefits quercetin on CIF as measured by voluntary wheel running activity and sought determine whether may be associated with decrease in inflammation and/or anemia. Methods. Mice were assigned 1 4 groups: placebo-vehicle (Plac-PBS), placebo5-fluorouracil (Plac-5FU), quercetin-vehicle (Quer-PBS), or quercetin-5-fluorouracil (Quer-5FU). All mice given daily injection either 60 mg/kg 5-FU phosphate buffered saline (PBS) 5 days. Quercetin (0.02%) treatment was administered food 3 days prior administration duration experiment (ie, –2 14). A second group sacrificed at 14 post initial assessment monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) Results. Voluntary reduced both Plac-5FU Quer-5FU groups following (P < .05). However, recovered baseline levels approximately day 7, whereas remained suppressed. MCP-1 significantly elevated .001), but changes seen Quer-5FU. Treatment resulted anemia days; however, blocked this effect .001). Conclusion. These results demonstrate beneficial improving recovery physical treatment, which linked
