摘要: Germ line transformation has been used to map the cis regulatory DNA elements responsible for precise and evolutionarily stable developmental expression of s18 chorion gene. Constructs containing chimeric combinations Drosophila melanogaster D. grimshawi regions, as well sequences alone, can direct in follicular epithelium, an s18-specific temporal spatial pattern. The results indicate that both positive negative function when transferred from melanogaster. first ca. 100 bp 5'-flanking region constitute a minimal, developmentally regulated promoter, which is inhibited by next 100-bp segment activated located further upstream. Expression minimal promoter also be enhanced more distant elements, provided inhibitory absent.
