摘要: Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC) and propionyl-L-carnitine (PLC) are two naturally occurring carnitine derivates formed by acetyltransferase. The beneficial cardiovascular effects of ALC PLC have been extensively evaluated in animals humans during the last 20 years. For instance, many clinical trials suggested as potential strategies management peripheral arterial disease, heart cerebral ischemia, congestive failure. As a result, several experts already aimed to revise evidence supporting therapeutic use PLC. On basis their conclusions, our aim was critical review effectiveness treatment diseases.
