A photoemission-into-electrolyte study of surface plasmon excitation on high index faces of silver

摘要: Abstract By use of photoemission-into-electrolyte spectroscopy on a cylindrical silver single crystal the optical excitation and decay surface plasmons high index faces has been studied. After electrochemical roughening plasmon showed pronounced polarization dependence. Photoemission, induced by excited plasmon, was only detected for orientations very close to densely packed Ag(111) face.
