摘要: Women are more likely to experience psychosis during the period following childbirth than at any other time in their lives. Postpartum appears be a heterogeneous group of mood and psychotic disorders. These disorders have common emergence symptoms such as delusions hallucinations first weeks postpartum, although some women may present several months later, usually with depression. The onset postpartum constitutes medical emergency. commit suicide or infanticide general population. Acute management emphasizes hospitalization ensure safety, mobilizing family care newborn, antipsychotic medication, treatment underlying disorder. This article focuses on Diagnostic Statistical Mannual Mental Disorde-5 Revision (DSM-5) update major clinical issues regarding psychosis.
