摘要: Detailed enzyme histochemical studies were performed on 18 biopsy specimens of lichen planus. The majority the biopsies came from patients with acute planus, but 3 obtained hypertrophic lesions long standing. most striking finding was a marked apparent depression respiratory activity in affected epidermis using techniques for demonstration succinic dehydrogenase, cytochrome oxidase and NAD diaphorase activity. Decreased epidermal cell turnover, damage to lower cells where these enzymes normally show maximal or local anoxia are amongst factors which considered be responsible this depression. No increase various hydrolytic associated lysosomal activity, such as nonspecific esterase acid phosphatase, could demonstrated areas basal necrosis feature. A great reduction number melanocytes indicated by dopa-oxidase reation active lesions. relevance findings particular reference role histogenesis planus is discussed.
