摘要: We have previously shown that the nucleocapsid protein of SARS-associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV) activated cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression. In this study, we identified another viral protein, spike SARS-CoV, which played an important role in virus-stimulated COX-2 expression after screening all genes from SARS-CoV genome. found upstream calcium-dependent PKC isozyme alpha modulates downstream ERK/NF-kappaB pathway through influx extracellular Ca2+ is induced by SARS-CoV. The was to be involved activation promoter and production HEK293T cells. also demonstrated unusual pathway, calcium-independent PI3K/PKC epsilon/JNK/CREB functioned cooperation with induce upon stimulation protein. This can blocked epsilon-specific, small interfering RNA, PI3K/JNK kinase-specific inhibitors as well dominant negative JNK. epsilon-specific siRNA attenuated phosphorylation Our results provide evidence helps us understand function SRAS-CoV SARS pathogenesis.
