摘要: In many cell types, septins assemble into filaments and rings at the neck of cellular appendages and/or cleavage furrow to help compartmentalize plasma membrane support cytokinesis. How septin ring assembly is coordinated with re-modeling controlled by mechanical stress these sites unclear. Through a genetic screen, we uncovered an unanticipated link between conserved Rho1 GTPase its ef-fector protein kinase C (Pkc1) stability in yeast. Both Pkc1 stabilize ring, least partly through phosphorylation membrane-associated F-BAR Syp1, which colocalizes asymmetrically bud neck. Syp1 displaced from upon Pkc1-dependent two serines, thereby affecting rigidity new-forming ring. We propose that coordinate wall remodeling controlling residence
