摘要: In 1996, plant and carabid beetle communities were examined in a semi-natural oak woodland (Derryclare Wood) compared with of nearby mature conifer plantation clearfelled 1994. At each site, 10 quadrats (2 m×2 m) pitfall traps used to sample the ground vegetation communities, respectively. Forty-one species recorded while 38 found site 19 plantation. The median plant-species richness per quadrat was significantly greater (p<0.01) (16.5) than other two sites (11) more species-rich (p<0.02) (6.5). A total 21 (895 individuals) captured, 74.5, 13.9 11.6% individuals being caught at woodland, plantation, number trap (6) (3.5) (2). addition, higher p<0.02. Median diversity also less (1.19) (2.43, p<0.01) (1.55, p<0.05). While Sorenson similarity index for both carabids shows that most similar composition; nevertheless, has demonstrated signs increasing only 2 years after clearfelling. It is concluded woodlands support range plantations, areas which are not replanted can enhance within commercial plantations.
