摘要: To determine the types of brain cells responsible for production amyloid beta peptides (A beta), as well their carboxyl-terminal properties, we studied secretion A in rat neuronal, astrocytic, microglial and meningeal primary cell cultures. All four produced beta, among which neurons secreted approximately 4 times more than other types. The percentage beta42 ending at position 42 a fraction total was similar between different types, ranging from 10 to 15%. These results suggest that might be most potent source brain, although non-neuronal type could also contribute this process.
