摘要: Water deficit is one of the important factors limiting crop production in arid and semi-arid regions. This research was conducted 2007 2008 to investigate field performance three chickpea cultivars (Hashem Arman from kabuli Pirooz desi type) under well watering (I1: 70 mm evaporation class A pan), gradual water (I2 and I3: 70…90…110…130 70…100…130 evaporation, respectively) severe stress (I4: 130 evaporation). Results showed that with increasing irrigation intervals, leaf proline content increased, while LAI grain yield were decreased. These reductions only significant (I4) as compared (I1). No differences chlorophyll quantum (Fv/Fm) recorded among treatments. LAI, type more than those cultivars. It concluded gradually intervals can prevent yield, due drought hardening plants.   Key words: Chickpea, deficit, proline, yield.
