Perceived motivational climate and intrinsic motivation in school physical education classes

摘要: Research has shown that dispositional achievement goal orientations have important effects on motivation, affect and behaviour in sport physical activity. However, rather less is known about the relationship between perceived ethos, or climate, of education (P.E.) classes subsequent motivation. The purpose this study, therefore, was to investigate psychometric properties an inventory assessing P.E. class climate subscales with intrinsic Second order factor analysis revealed dimensions ‘mastery’ ‘performance’, confirming prior research. mastery dimension scores were found significantly enhance prediction motivation beyond accounted for by competence, whereas not case performance scores. MANOVA showed children perceiving their P. E. be high inboth reported greater competence.
