摘要: Abstract We carried out a cultivation experiment using an artificial red mutant of Porphyra yezoensis isolated by heavy-ion beam mutagenesis to evaluate whether the has potential as new cultivar. The blade length was shorter than that wild-type HG-511 at first harvest. However, results present study suggest tends increase contents phycoerythrin, total free amino acid (FAA), alanine and taurine in comparison with wild type. These tendencies toward FAA were strongly supported laboratory culture experiment. From these superior characteristics pigment contents, IBY-R1 may become cultivar nori cultivation, although it is possible harvest will be lower other cultivars.
