摘要: The invasive brown marmorated stink bug Halyomorpha halys (Stal) is a serious nuisance pest in buildings. To address how H. select potential overwintering sites and to predict the risk of home invasion, citizen scientists, primarily from Mid‐Atlantic region U.S.A., were recruited count number present on exterior their homes during autumn dispersal periods 2013 2014. Volunteers provided daily data numbers each aspect peak dispersal, as well home's location, colour structural material. Among volunteers, fewer adults counted white compared with tan grey both years. Across all homes, greatest north east walls years wood, cement or stone exteriors. In addition, significantly more rural landscapes urban areas found greater darker coloured made natural materials, even though these less common than other types landscape. Thus, located features could be prone larger infestations halys.
