摘要: In the tobacco hornworm Manduca sexta, juvenile hormone (JH) is critical for control of species-specific size. However, whether basic helix-loop-helix/Per-Arnt-Sim domain receptor methoprene-tolerant (Met) involved remains unconfirmed. present paper, we found that RNA interference (RNAi)-aided knockdown Met gene (LdMet) lowered larval and pupal fresh weights shortened development period in Colorado potato beetle Leptinotarsa decemlineata. Dietary introduction JH into LdMet RNAi larvae rescued neither decreased nor reduced phase, even though ingestion by extended developmental time caused large pupae. Moreover, transcript levels five genes prothoracicotropic cap 'n' collar isoform C/Kelch-like ECH associated protein 1 pathways were upregulated silenced larvae. Ecdysteroidogenesis was thereby activated; 20-hydroxyecdysone (20E) titer increased; 20E signaling pathway elicited Therefore, JH, acting through its Met, inhibits PTTH production release before attainment weight. Once weight reached, are averted; hemolymph removed. The elimination allows brain to PTTH. subsequently stimulates ecdysteroid biosynthesis start larval-pupal transition L.
