摘要: The metabotropic glutamate (mGlu) receptors are a group of Class C seven-transmembrane spanning/G protein-coupled (7TMRs/GPCRs). These activated by glutamate, one the standard amino acids and major excitatory neurotransmitter. By activating G protein-dependent non-G signaling pathways, mGlus modulate glutamatergic transmission both in periphery throughout central nervous system. Since discovery first mGlu receptor, especially during last decade, great deal progress has been made understanding signaling, structure, pharmacological manipulation therapeutic indications 8 members.
