Early SKIP mode decision for MVC using inter-view correlation

摘要: In the joint multiview video model (JMVM) proposed by JVT, variable block-size motion estimation (ME) and disparity (DE) have been employed to determine best coding mode for each macroblock (MB). These give a high efficiency (MVC), however, they cause very computational complexity in encoding system. This paper proposes reduce complexities of ME DE processes with an early SKIP decision algorithm based on analysis prediction distribution regarding corresponding MBs neighbor view. this method, procedures most can be terminated, thus much computation greatly reduced. Simulation results demonstrate that our achieve saving 46-57% (depending tested sequences) no significant loss rate-distortion performance.
