Bleomycin as intralesional sclerosant for cystic hygromas

摘要: ABSTRACT: To study the efficacy of intralesional bleomycin as a sclerosing agent for peripheral cystic hygromas, 15 patients were treated. Intralesional injection into lymphangiomas was given at dose not exceeding 0.5 mg per kg body weight, intervals 2 weeks. The regression response swelling graded excellent (total disappearance), good ( 50 percent reduction), and poor decrease). Reduction in size mass usually seen by weeks to 6 months number injections each patient varied from 1-5. A significant reduction 86.7 (13 patients) 53.3 (8 cases) them showed complete disappearance. Eleven 12 lesions response. No complications noted. average follow-up period 28 (23-37 months).
