摘要: Background The previous researchers have postulated that an abused child may abuse his or her abuser parent when the is getting old, also known as intergenerational transmission of violence. However, few studies use data to support this model, and it has yet be examined in U.S. Chinese community. This study aims examine association between childhood elder reported by adult children United States. Methods Guided a community-based participatory research approach, 548 aged 21 years older participated study. Childhood was assessed four-item Hurt-Insult-Threaten-Scream (HITS) scale. Elder 10-item instrument derived from Caregiver Abuse Screen (CASE). Logistic regression analysis performed.
