Explaining links from the past: material distribution in Charco Hondo 2 Acheulian archeological site (Madrid, Spain)

摘要: The study of the lithic assemblage from Charco Hondo 2 (Madrid, Spain) indicates existence intense activities related to quarrying Miocene flint outcrops, within a drainage context inside interfluvial plateau Manzanares and Jarama rivers (Madrid region). This production was oriented produce first stages large flake bifacial shaping, with an important collection refitted materials Lower/Middle Paleolithic. sedimentological circumstances presence items initially suggest good preservation conditions for open-air site.
