摘要: This paper tells the stories of two trainee teachers and their personal experiences dyslexia. Both informants were English and training to be primary school teachers in England. Through drawing on their own education, illustrate how dyslexia has shaped self-concept, self-esteem resilience each informant. The narratives presented this illustrate powerfully the ways which can have a positive or negative impact on self-concepts students with Both had been inspired by teachers they met, these positive role models had given them confidence pursue own ambitions. However, both encountered teachers who lacked empathy patience, teachers had detrimental self-concepts. For teachers, experiences of also professional identities as teachers. trainees described themselves caring empathic suggesting that a positive teacher professional identity.
