摘要: Background and aim: Basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) interleukin 1β (IL1β) belong to the set of intratesticular regulators that provide for fine-tuning processes implicated in maintenance spermatogenesis. The aim this study was investigate if bFGF IL1β activate CREB, what signaling pathways may be participating possible relationship between CREB activation regulation Sertoli cell function. Methods: Twenty-day-old rat cultures were used. Results: Cultures stimulated with produced a time-dependent increment phosphorylated levels reached maximal values 5- 15-minute incubations respectively. MEK inhibitors — PD98059 U0126 blocked effect on while p38-MAPK inhibitor SB203580 IL1 β CREB. A correlation two cell-differentiated functions, Ldh transferrin expression, explored. ability stimulate expression LDH activity. Concerning transferrin, able inhibit its secretion. On contrary, unable block induced increase secretion suggesting pathway does not participate mechanism action cytokine regulate transferrin. Conclusions: results presented herein suggest is response through p42/p44-MAPK transcription partially responsible
