摘要: Abstract Malaysia is currently the world׳s second largest producer of palm oil. With its large and growing oil industry, combined with a strong global demand for oil, has potential to play major role in world food biofuel markets. As result environmental concerns reservations concerning net effect deforestation some countries such as Indonesia, restricted expansion plantation area been analyzed. This paper aims perform quantitative analysis on (1) domestic supply outlook Malaysia׳s including biodiesel (2) ability markets by 2035, context area. Domestic production projected rise about 50% 26.6 million tons 2035. consumption, industrial non-food uses anticipated increase more than 200% 1.4 up from 0.4 2009. demand, however, amounts only very small portion (5%) total an expected exportable surplus over 25 tons. capacity, will become formidable competitor vegetable
