摘要: In this final chapter, the characteristics of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) – current pest management paradigm– and Holistic (HPM) alternative paradigm are confronted in a vis-a-vis comparison that emphasizes differences between both paradigms. Subsequently, cases presented where Risk Index (HRI) decision-making cornerstone HPM has been used to study threats other contexts than pests. The most significant challenges mentioned last part chapter: transform society with pesticides into fairer, more environmentally friendly one promotes supports economically viable socio-environmental systems.
