摘要: Mannosylerythritol lipids (MELs) are a glycolipid class of biosurfactants produced by variety yeast and fungal strains that exhibit excellent interfacial biochemical properties. MEL-producing fungi were identified using an efficient screening method for the production taxonomical classification on basis ribosomal RNA sequences. MEL is limited primarily to genus Pseudozyma, with significant variability among structures each species. Outside one recently isolated strain, Ustilago scitaminea, has been shown abundant MEL-B from sugarcane juice. Structural analyses these compounds suggest role MELs in numerous cosmetic applications. act as effective topical moisturizers can repair damaged hair. Furthermore, have both protective healing activities, activate fibroblasts papilla cells, natural antioxidants. In this review, we provide brief summary research over past few decades, focusing identification fungi, structural characterization MELs, use alternative primary carbon source,
