摘要: The susceptibilities of strains Gardnerella vaginalis (Haemophilus vaginalis), Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Bacteroides fragilis to metronidazole its principal oxidative metabolites (1-[2-hydroxyethyl]-2-hydroxymethyl-5-nitroimidazole) ("hydroxy" metabolite) 1-acetic acid-2-methyl-5-nitroimidazole ("acid" metabolite), were compared by determinations the minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) these compounds. Against ten G. vaginalis, hydroxy metabolite was most active (median MIC, 2 microgram/ml); median MICs acid 8 64 microgram/ml, respectively. also against 15 N. gonorrhoeae 32 microgram/ml). In contrast, B. 1 had micrograms/ml, These results indicate that in treatment vaginalis-associated vaginitis with metronidazole, may contribute a significant antimicrobial effect, view excellent activity vitro.
