摘要: Vaginitis by definition means inflammation of the vagina and is to be distinguished from cervicitis which has its own set pathogens. We are aware relatively few agents that cause vaginitis. Trichomonas vaginalis, a protozoan parasite, usually associated with voluminous, often frothy, green vaginal discharge. Yeast vaginitis caused yeast-like fungus Candida albicans characterized curd-like discharge itching. these two been termed specific represents approximately 50% all cases. Patients presenting physician complaints but having evidence neither T. vaginalis nor C. were defined as nonspecific (NSV). NSV not new syndrome. As early 1895, Kronig (1) published drawings fluid patients showed mixed flora devoid large rods including vibrio-like organisms. Later Doderlein (cited in reference 2) described three grades flora. Grade I, clean vagina, contained rod-shaped organisms became known Doderlein’s bacilli represent various species genus Lactobacillus. II was flora, III, pathological notable absence Kronig’s description III characteristic syndrome we now call NSV.
