摘要: Objective: To determine epidemiological aspects of dog bite in Guilan Province, north Iran. Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted on 1 643 cases bites who presented at rabies vaccination centers Guilan, Iran from June 2011 to May 2012. Data including demographic characteristics cases, biting dog, treatment and preventive measures carried out, incident circumstances were collected. Independent t-test, ANOVA, Fisher exact test chi-square used. Results: Dog incidences men women 179.4 55 100 000 populations, respectively. Incidences urban rural 72.8, 181.9 population, The highest percentage victims (20.1%) 20-29 years old age group. Majority dogs (92%) owned. Victims the (26.6%) owners. Most occurred houses (58.5%). Entering dog's guarding territory most common (27.6%). Injuries commonly involved lower extremities (51%). Rabies vaccine, immunoglobulin, tetanus vaccine immunoglobulin administered for 100%, 23.2%, 74.8%, 9.1%, There significant differences between term area place incidence ownership (. P < 0.05).
