摘要: Abstract Free vibration of a beam with large and abrupt changes cross-section is studied. Applying the simple theory to such results in noticeable error certain cases, because overestimation bending stiffness at discontinuity cross-section. For this problem combined type transfer matrix method which finite element partially used presented. As numerical example first natural frequencies free-free, square beams rectangular groove are calculated. The effects dimensions on frequency discussed compared those obtained by theory. experimental agree very well calculated ones.
