摘要: Cinnamon-bark (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) powder (CP) was investigated to evaluate the As(III) biosorption capability from aqueous solution. Biosorption behavior of studied by batch column experiments. The adsorption phenomenon were analyzed with various experimental variables such as solution pH, sorbent amount, agitation speed, initial concentration and temperature. Maximum sorption occurred at pH 5.0 while equilibrium established in 8 h. Langmuir Freundlich isotherm models employed for fitting data. maximum capacity CP observed be 36.311 μg g-1. kinetics speculated follow pseudo-first-order kinetic model (R2 =0.998) rate 15.340×10-3 min-1 500 L-1. biosorbent material characterized scanning electron microscopy (SEM) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). activation energy (Ea) heat (H) calculated 17.780 30.724 kJ mol-1 respectively. Thermodynamic parameters evaluated which revealed spontaneous nature on accompanied physical activated process. break through characteristics C. zeylanicum packed also small scale tests (SSCT).
