摘要: Abstract Eggs ( Arbacia punctulata ) were immersed in D 2 O-sea water at metaphase to anaphase of the first cleavage division and then subjected hydrostatic pressure (8000 12,000 psi) 4 min later. Immediately subsequent treatment, isolation mitotic apparatus was initiated, using ethanol-digitonin method Mazia. The eggs 90 per cent showed a very marked increase resistance disorganizing (solational) effects high pressure. Isolates derived from exposed for 3 psi retained plainly linear radial configurations spindle astral regions respectively; whereas non-deuterated control lost all vestiges structure after 1 exposure only 10,000 psi. Moreover, deuterated yielded clearly structured figures exposures (4 min) 8000 (5 min). However, similarly pressurized gave isolates which completely devoid visible organization. And finally, chromosomes swollen clumped irregularly. A lesser degree stabilization observed 70 50 water.
