摘要: Sibutramine is a non-selective serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor orally administered for weight loss. In previous study, we showed pharmacological mechanisms involved in the reduction of sperm quality and fertility rats exposed 30 days to this anorexigen light phase light-dark (l/d) cycle. It already known that rodents are nightlife animals, with higher metabolic activity during dark than Thus, present study aimed investigate whether deleterious effects on reproductive parameters after sibutramine administration would be enhanced shorter period exposure l/d For this, adult male Wistar were treated (10 mg/kg/d) or vehicle 15 treatment decreased final body organ weights, as well serum testosterone levels. Sperm transit time through epididymis was accelerated, concentration motility diminished sibutramine-exposed rats. The decrease also verified epididymal histological sections. conclusion, when occurred cycle, even short duration. Our results reinforce impact timing drug therapeutic action.
