摘要: Since the inception of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, there has been much conceptual progress on linkages across 17 goals and their 169 targets. While this kind conceptualization is an essential first step, action must now move towards systematic policy design, implementation, multi-stakeholder collaborations that can translate such understanding into concrete results. This study a reality check quasi-political global development agendas by United Nations its implications Austrian forestry. Although forestry not goal itself, forests as element have included under SDG15 (Life Land). In study, with potential synergies or trade-offs within between SDGs assessed through literature survey complemented perception opinion leaders sector same. The insights about awareness, necessity mainstreaming structure Austria were reviewed. Besides facilitating sustainable forest management (SFM) Austria, only strongly related to, but likely to aid, achievement other SDGs, human health (SDG3), provision clean water (SDG6), affordable & energy (SDG7), climate (SDG13). perceive well-placed broad. Some broadness positive aspect SDGs. On hand, 15-year (2015–2030) tenure perceived be inadequate match temporal scale development. Apparently, success will strictly depend upon coordination, governance, most importantly, awareness among all stakeholders. Therefore, addition “leaving no one behind”, evidently provide incentives benefitting everybody.
