摘要: Habituation to nonlethal predation stimuli may provide benefits for animals living in areas with frequent encounters low-risk predators. On the other hand, individuals can be very consistent their antipredator responses, shy showing greater degree of responsiveness than bold individuals. However, link between habituation or boldness and individual has not been thoroughly investigated. We established whether how two behavioral components associated responses (habituation boldness, interaction) would influence body condition, which is a parameter related fitness. conducted an outdoor semi-natural experiment Iberian wall lizards (Podarcis hispanica). Individual was across contexts, but we did find any effect interaction on condition. those that habituated more readily predatory stimulus were able increase condition relative less. This finding highlights importance differences plasticity, could traits exposed predators; however, prone also experience mortality costs by wrongly habituating dangerous predator.
