摘要: Abstract The surveillance of infectious diseases in Reunion Island is based on a sentinel network family physicians (FPs) coordinated by the Indian Ocean regional institute for public health (French acronym OI Cire). objectives are to identify and monitor outbreaks influenza, gastroenteritis, chicken pox, characterize circulating influenza viruses. can other potentially epidemic diseases. Method ensures continuous permanent surveillance. Physicians send their weekly activity data Cire that collects, processes, interprets it; they also collect samples biological influenza. Statistical thresholds, historical estimated numbers incident cases, calculated follow trend, detect outbreaks, quantify impact. Results currently includes 56 FPs pediatricians, accounting 6.5% island. has clarified seasonality during austral winter identified acute diarrhea with an peak when school starts August. FPs's reports allowed monitoring trend estimating number cases 2005 2006 chikungunya 2009 A (H1N1) outbreaks. Conclusion proven its contribution, responsiveness, reliability epidemiological outbreak. It essential tool Island.
