摘要: Wangiella dermatitidis exhibits a polymorphism consisting of three well-defined morphologies, together with various forms characteristic transitions among them (Figure 1). The organism may exist as moniliform or true hyphae, characterized by apical growth and production blastoconidia. Alternatively, it be found unicellular budding yeasts, intermittent polar associated bud formation secondary isotropic (spherical) growth. Third, form enlarged, thick-walled cells, and, eventually, the internal septa. This third morphology, multicellular form, resembles sclerotic bodies produced etiological agents chromoblastomycosis (Rippon, 1982).
