摘要: Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a global disease without definitive cure that leads to substantial vision loss and decreased quality of life. Our understanding the pathogenesis has greatly evolved, allowing development interventions improve visual acuity and/or delay decline in AMD patients. Given tremendous escalating burden worldwide, lack for either neovascular or non-neovascular AMD, our increasingly sophisticated grasp genetic factors underlying disease, future holds both urgency promise elucidate preventive strategies, mechanisms, treatment options.
