摘要: Abstract This study presents the novel application of compression shear test (CST) for characterising bonding strength metal-composite hybrids made steel and carbon fibre/polyamide 6 (CF/PA 6). An automated laser-assisted tape placement (ATP) process was used to lay-up CF/PA 6 tapes on laser textured substrates. CST is interest due ease sample manufacturing as a relatively small specimen required. The results were compared with standardised single lap tests (ASTM D3165), which requires double-notched specimen. For benchmarking purposes, also characterise interlaminar plain composite. showed equivalent similar failure modes both hybrid specimens. Grooved texturing substrate in specimens promoted mixed-mode (cohesive adhesive) higher than composite-only Overall, that valid efficient method composites.
