摘要: Abstract Al-4.5Mg-0.5Mn alloy powders were mechanically alloyed by the addition of 1–3 wt.% cerium oxide (CeO2) nanoparticles using a planetary ball mill under dry argon atmosphere. A milling speed 300 rpm and to powder ratio 20:1 was used for all samples. An optimum time 20 h chosen considering morphological structural changes in milled powders. The composite consolidated via vacuum hot pressing at 515°C. Mechanical properties evaluated hardness compression tests. evolution structure microstructure during process studied X-ray diffraction field emission scanning electron microscopy, respectively. corrosion behavior samples investigated potentiodynamic polarization testing standard 3.5% chloride salt solution assessed terms pitting potential passivation range.
