摘要: The RCS rat is a widely studied model of human retinal dystrophies including retinitis pigmentosa. Chondroitin-6-sulphate (C6S) in the interphotoreceptor matrix was localised immunocytochemically both normal congenic and dystrophic strains up to 65 days postnatally. From postnatal 5 15 distribution C6S similar, being interstices developing inner outer segments adjacent RPE surface. In rats, did not change with age. however, at 20 35 staining observed as dense band junction no surface RPE. At day 45 onwards there decrease complete absence these rats. This pattern correlated morphological observation progressive degeneration photoreceptor cells suggesting that may be important rat.
