摘要: Published during a severe economic crisis, this study presents the first spatial microsimulation model for analysis of income inequalities and poverty in Greece. First, we present brief overview method discuss its potential multidimensional inequality We then SimAthens model, based on combination small-area demographic socioeconomic information available from Greek census population with data European Union Statistics Income Living Conditions (EU-SILC). The is an iterative proportional fitting (IPF) algorithm, used to reweigh EU-SILC records fit descriptions Athens 2001 2011 censuses. This achieved by using characteristics as constraint variables. Finally, synthesis labor market occupations are chosen main variables externally validating our results, order verify integrity model. Results external validation process found be extremely satisfactory, indicating high goodness between simulated real values. number outputs, illustrating changes social geography, offering great opportunity discussing further policy analysis.
