摘要: A novel iron-oxidizing chemolithoautotrophic bacterium, strain ET2T, was isolated from a deep-sea sediment in hydrothermal field of the Bayonnaise knoll Izu-Ogasawara arc. Cells were bean-shaped, curved short rods. Growth observed at temperature range 15-30 °C (optimum 25 °C, doubling time 24 h) and pH 5.8-7.0 6.4) presence NaCl 1.0-4.0 % 2.75 %). The isolate microaerophilic, strict chemolithoautotroph capable growing using ferrous iron molecular oxygen (O2) as sole electron donor acceptor, respectively; carbon dioxide source; either ammonium or nitrate nitrogen source. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence indicated that new related to only previously Mariprofundus species, M. ferrooxydans. Although relatively high similarity (95 %) found between ferrooxydans, distinct terms cellular fatty acid composition, genomic DNA G+C content cell morphology. Furthermore, comparison ET2T ferrooxydans PV-1 dissimilarity these strains met standard for species-level differentiation. On basis its physiological characteristics, (= KCTC 15556T = JCM 30585 T) represents species Mariprofundus, which name micogutta is proposed. We also propose subordinate taxa Mariprofundales ord. nov. Zetaproteobacteria classis phylum Proteobacteria.
