摘要: Background and objective:  The prevalence of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) has increased substantially in the past 20 years, however, there are no data specific to Iran. This study investigated patients suspected have MDR-TB, attending TB referral hospital Iran. Methods:  All having MDR-TB on admission period 2003–2005 were included this study. Sputum from all was tested for smear culture, drug sensitivity testing performed using proportion method. Patients categorized into three groups based their history medical treatment. Group I consisted with CAT regimen failure; II a failure III comprised more than two courses irregular anti-TB regimen. Results:  There 105 recruited; 32 I, 53 20 III. significant differences between resistance first-line drugs. Fifty-five diagnosed MDR-TB. 56% (18 cases) group 49% (26 55% (11 No difference pattern observed groups. Conclusion:  high lack response treatment indicates that antibiotic is essential failure.
