Allergic Rhinitis: epidemiological aspects, diagnosis and treatment*

摘要: This study was a review of the literature on epidemiological, clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects allergic rhinitis. Bibliographic searches were based information contained within Medline, Latin American Caribbean Health Sciences Literature HighWire databases, covering last thirty years using following search terms: 'allergic rhinitis', 'epidemiology', 'diagnosis' 'treatment'. Sixty articles selected. describes increase in prevalence rhinitis, its relationship with asthma, criteria treatment. The classification rhinitis strategies for treatment are presented. Therapeutic modalities presented discussed include administration antihistamines, corticosteroids, immunotherapy, anti-leukotrienes, sodium cromoglycate anti-IgE antibodies, as well minimizing exposure to inhaled allergens. Finally, importance management public health is emphasized.
