摘要: Abstract ASC Whetlerite charcoals impregnated with copper and chromium have been studied by several surface microanalytical techniques to determine the effects of aging on composition microstructure. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic (XPS) studies absorbers not deliberately aged, showed that most inside each particle was present as Cu(I). Transmission microscopy some this is crystallites diameters up 0.1 μm. Natural or artificial in a humid atmosphere resulted number size such migration impregnants outer particle, where it bonded largely Cu(OH) 2 . Chromium adsorber both Cr(III) Cr(VI) oxidation states undergoes little change during aging.
